in the Adirondacks and Schroon Lake

Summer is the grandest season in the Adirondacks and Schroon Lake. The types of activities in Schroon Lake, NY are limited only by your imagination.

Hiking - Enjoy miles of trails in the region. There are trails ranging from short and flat for the novice and longer and steeper for the  accomplished hiker. Once you have reached the summits of the mountains, you will enjoy spectacular views of the High Peaks region and Vermont.

Biking - If you enjoy a challenge, there are several trails which are excellent for the mountain biker or visit Gore and Whiteface Mountains for a day of mountain biking. If you enjoy a bike ride on a paved surface, bike the Adirondack Marathon course around the lake - the most scenic 26 miles you’ll ever ride.

Fishing - Our waters are now fully stocked brimming with Landlocked  Salmon, Perch, Small and Large Mouth Bass, Lake Trout, Great Northern Pike and Pickerel. Contact the Schroon Lake Fish and Game Club for information on participating in the Summertime Children’s Fishing Derby.

Swimming - Schroon Lake has one of the select beaches in the Adirondacks. If you are looking just to relax, enjoy the view and peacefulness, Schroon Lake Town Beach is the place. Let the kids play in the water. The town has life guards on duty during the day.
